Facebook is the leading social community online. With currently over 500 million registered users,Marketing your business on Facebook Articles Facebook is a social networking website which allows members to make a profile, submit pictures, post information and keep in touch with family and friends.

With approximately half a billion Facebook users and that is more than a significant target audience for anybody!

The great thing about advertising on Facebook is the flexibility of your advertisements. You can tweak  your advertisements so they appear only to specific groups or segments of people based on the information contained within their profile or based on gender, location, or personal preferences.

For example, if your product is tailored towards people who own a pet you could develop your advertisements so that they are triggered to appear only for those who have indicated that they own a domestic animal in their profiles, or who have demonstrated interest in similar products or services based on their personal profile, communities or groups they have joined, or other advertisements they have responded to which are related in some way to your business.

Within the information section of your Facebook page, make sure you enter your business web address and a proper business contact.  Also, put in your actual business address so people know where you are located.

Also. whenever advertising your business in other media, always publish that you can be located on Facebook. If you have a business website, include your Facebook link. Only post on your Facebook  things that are based on your subject matter and  always remember that whatever you post and send you message away into cyberspace, it will stay there forever.

Encourage your Facebook supporters by awarding them with badges and commendations. Maybe post a quiz occasionally and the first one to post the correct answer receives a special badge.

Facebook marketing is all about having your information in front of as many people as possible. The greater number of friends you have, the more friends of friends will see your information and choose to become your Facebook friend. Then, everytime you send out a message about your products or services, lots of potential customers will see it.
