The FTA renewed its breakdown contract with AA! Haulage companies can rest easy: if a problem occurs when driving, AA will have them back on the road quickly.
I come bearing fantastic news this month – the Freight Transport Association’s 2,000 Recovery members and their 86,000 mixed vehicle fleets will continue to benefit from the AA’s breakdown services. The FTA has renewed its contract with the AA fleet and SME division for another five years. With this fully comprehensive contract, the UK’s leader in breakdown and recovery services will still be supporting haulage companies and freight forwards like you by providing services to Heavy Good Vehicles, as well as to cars and vans. They will continue to ensure that your vehicles are back on the road as quickly and swiftly as possible should a problem occur.
A Strong and Reliable Relationship
As you probably know, the AA has been the FTA’s official recovery provider for the past 26 years. Over this time, the two have built a strong relationship. The AA has worked alongside the FTA on a variety of projects, including the FTA’s Van Excellence Programme and its ‘Love Logistics’ campaign, which promoted career opportunities in the freight sector. Having proven both their loyalty and reliability, haulage companies can rest assured that, should they breakdown, they will be well cared for by the AA.
Advantages of the Partnership
You might be wondering what the advantages of this renewed contract are. I can certainly think of a few things which might interest haulage companies and freight forwarders.
As a recovery member, you benefit from a few perks that are definitely worth singing about. Not only do you enjoy reduced breakdown and call-out rates, you also avoid annual fees (and, who does not love to save money?). Better yet, you get to streamline the application process, so there is minimal administrative work to be done.
Since 1991, the AA has increased its understanding of haulage companies’ needs by working alongside the FTA. They are now able to offer a tailored service that meets both your requirements and your demands.
Because they have 26 years of experience working with haulage companies and freight forwarders, the AA’s team provides fleet managers with tips on important topics and issues that they need to be aware of. Their staff also constantly aim to provide an excellent service.
Throughout 2017 and 2018, the AA has planned a significant investment into bettering its breakdown and recovery services. Looks like FTA Recovery members will benefit from even better assistance!
About the AA
The AA has proven to be a trustworthy company for haulage companies, and its 111 years of history certainly confirm it. Which? has recommended them as a dependable provider for the past ten consecutive years. They have also been independently named as the UK’s Most Trusted Brand. Most recently, the Fleet News Awards highly commended the AA Fleet and SME division, naming them Fleet Supplier of the Year 2017 and giving them an award for best customer service.
Are you in safe hands? I think so!
