The The Blue World City is a joint venture between the Lahore-based Blue Group of Companies and a Chinese company, Shan Jian Municipal Engineering Company.

Owner of the Blue Group of Companies, Saad Nazir, has previously been linked with other successful businesses and housing ventures such as the PIA cooperative society, center Park Lahore, Blue Sapphire, Blue Mart and Blue Technologies.
The Blue World City is offering residential and commercial plots of different sizes of commercial plots of different sizes as well as farm houses comprising of the 5 Marla, 8 Marla, 10 Marla, 1 Kanal and 2 Kanal residential plots. In the initial phase, a Preliminary Planning Permission for around 427 Kanal of land was granted to the society, after which another application was submitted to acquire the Planning and Advertising permission for 5,000 Kanal of land.
