You know you need to continually provide compelling, useful content for your newsletter, ezine, or blog. But sometimes it can be a challenge to keep things fresh. When you're head's-down in the thick of managing your business, coming up with interesting and valuable topics can be the last thing you want to deal with.
Here are four life-saving tips for coming up with relevant blog and newsletter topics so you can create great content with a minimum of stress:
1. Write the answers to your customers' most frequently asked questions. This topic can be mined almost endlessly, even if you already have a FAQ page on your website. Tackle one question at a time and respond to it thoroughly.
2. Find out what your competitors are posting about. You can write about the same topics from a different angle, provide an opposing perspective, or offer a better solution.
3. Let your customers' behavior tell you what they want to know about. For example, if there is high demand for a particular service you offer, write about that service. If you see unusually high response rates on a certain email, write a blog post relevant to the content of that email. If you see a huge amount of traffic on one particular page of your website, write more about the content of that page for your blog or newsletter.
4. Solve your customers' problems. If you know there are certain difficulties your customers all experience, write about how to manage or avoid them.
Don't forget, if you are just all out of ideas or really hate doing this kind of research, you can get your Virtual Assistant to take care of it for you. A VA can research relevant topics for any of the content writing you need to do so you are free to get on with your business.
