A garage is a part of house which is usually used to store vehicle or vehicles. In some places garage is also known as carport, which means the structure that is not entirely closed. Garages are normally present at the entrance of house but in some places garages are also opened into the back garden. As I describe above, the basic purpose of a garage is to store vehicles but garages are also used to store different tools, bicycles, lawn mowers and many other such items. Today most of the houses owners are using attached garage because these garages are less expensive. An attached garage is simply built by sharing the wall with the home. While on the other hand a detached garage is a separate building. The biggest advantage of an attached garage is its convenience because there is a door inside the garage that would be lead into the home and you don’t have to expose yourself to the elements such as rain, snow falling etc. The second advantage of an attached garage is that, if you are facing any physical limitation then you would not have to walk out from your house in order to reach your garage.

Security is also a very big benefit of an attached garage because an attach garage offers you a very secure place to get into and out of your car directly from house. An attached garage also provides an excellent attraction to your property because due to an attached garage your home looks larger than actually it is. The biggest purpose to use detached garage is that; detached garages can save money on homeowners insurance because in detached garages there is a very less chance of spreading fire into your home. In some places detached garages are taxed as an individual residency. A detached garage offers a complete separate building that is not connected with your home. Thus you also have an option to use this garage as a work shop because your home occupants does not disturb with the noise of your tools. The most important thing is that whether you are using an attached or detached garage, you should have to make sure that the door of your garage is closed properly. In this way you will stay safe while no matter in which kind of garage you are parking your car.
