Machete Overview.

 In general terms, a machete is like a blend of an ax and a knife that has a serious handle for swinging, and a very serious blade for cutting or chopping. Prior to the creation of metallic tools, human would swing stones that were attached to pieces of wood or animal bones to harvests grain, and do other forms of work an agriculture. Once humanity learned how to create steel at little expense, the machete grew in popularity, and became quick wide spread in south east Asia and Africa.

There are many today, in the rural poverty stricken parts of the world that still rely heavily on the machete types blade. Designs are always improving, and for those poor people using them, machinery seems to never be an option. Now that the USA and Canada have had a surge in small, organic farms, hand tools such as the machete have again risen in popularity. Many sword and knife collectors crave good machetes for their collections, and machetes are always popular among those who tend to property lots larger than that of the average urban home stead.
