For instance, add dimmers in different areas to different groups, such as sitting room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen etc. Wherever you are at home, you can control them wirelessly. The wireless signal transmission distance can be up to 30m. In addition, even if you’re away from home, the dimmers can be controlled via Ethernet as long as the primary controller or gateway is connected to your home network.
Every single dimmer can be configured with different scenes for different situations. For instance, you can define different scenes of the sitting room lighting when you’re away or home, and recall the corresponding scene at the preset time automatically. You do not even have to use your hands.
Z Wave is also low power consumption system which will be at sleepy mode at most of the time when there is no signal transmission, and consumes no energy. Compared to traditional lighting control, it requires much less wires and reduces installation time and costs.
