THE CHIMNEY CLEANING

Chimney is a hole present on the surface above the fireplace or the area where the ventilation is required. In homes and in industries it is installed so that all the gases and the heat produced within the system goes out of the system. They are greatly important for the maintaince of a present environment within the house otherwise due to the accumulation of certain gases would cause suffocation. As all type of gases, heat, smoke and dust particles pass through these chimneys therefore they often get adherent to the walls of the chimneys. There they cause soot’s of the particles. In addition to the materials that pass through the chimneys from the internal system to the external the external rain, air, contaminants and animal debris also passes through it. The industries are continuously producing a large number of dangerous, filthy and poisonous gases that are also passes out from it. Hence the chimneys get contaminated and they must be cleaned frequently.

There are a number of ways of cleaning them and are large number of products are launched by manufactures each day for the cleaning of these chimneys.The various methods include the use of brushes in order to remove all the soot and the dust from the chimneys. The chimney sweepers use specially designed brushes for this purpose. Some of the brushes are of small size and are soft and others are larger in size and used to clean large sized chimneys. A great supply of water at high pressure is required so that all the dust particles get adhered to it and dissolve in the water. For this purpose there are certain pipes and the valves in them help to maintain the outflow of water at desired pressure. We should install the chimney caps so as to protect it from damage from the external sources. Different type of vipors is usually used to clean the chimneys. These vipors are designed in a way that they move flexibly and remove all the dust from the corners.

During cleaning the sweeper must wear the mask to cover his face.It is very important to clean these chimneys as they are very important.Their importance can be explained by the fact that during the winter we comfortably sit in front of the fire and the chimney regulate the temperature inside the room and send all the gases out but if the chimney is dirty and the occluded dirt has blocked the passage of air to the outside than the soothing fire would become hazardous and the smoke will fill home rather than being ventilated. The uncleaned chimneys in the house and the industry are a source of spread of infection and the germs and the people of the area become ill. All this uncleanness’ is against the healthy environment and it is the source of a large number of diseases. Therefore, the people who possess these chimneys must take care about their maintainance for the safety of themselves and the people nearby
