You must make starters holes first then you can move further, If you feel that you are going right or the holes made by you are proper in place so you may make holes to a depth which is required by the post. Now you are able to secure the post in the hole. Be sure that the posit is squarely positioned. Now you are going to drill the holes for the bolts which will secure the post. a penetration is required by the hole to the riser but it must not go completely through the riser. It must be large enough that the head of the bolt may make its place in it.In the next step you may insert the bolts to the riser. Then place a washer and the nut by which you may secure the bolt in placae. You may place a wooden plug to seal the hole. For this you may use a hammer. Then this plug must be flushed with the riser of the case of stair.
