10 Beauty Hacks: A Cheat Sheet for Beauty

While true knowledge in beauty is something you can achieve only through practice and enrolling yourself into the correct beauty and makeup courses, there are a few basic hacks to make your everyday life a little bit easier.

Rememeber, these are just some basic tricks that makeup artists use and have learnt over the years after having studied professional makeup courses.

1. Skincare - Something that is taught in all beauty makeup courses is the importance of skincare.One of the simplest yet most effective ways to get good, glowing skin is to follow a daily skin care routine. i.e., Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing and sun protection. You make-up will only look as good as your skin is underneath it. 
2. Use cream products - A cream blush, bronzer and/or highlighter ensure that you're not adding too many layers of powder on your face. Powder always accentuates texture so switching to tints and creams will get you one step closer to supermodel skin 
3. Stick to self-setting and long wear eyeshadow sticks to save time and still get a stunning shadow look. 
4. Finding the right shade and texture of foundation is key to flawless make-up. If the skin is oily, avoid illuminating foundations. If the skin is dry, avoid very high coverage mattifying foundations. It’s important to customise the make-up based on the specific skin type and concerns. 
5. Another life saving make-up artist tip would be to wiggle your mascara wands horizontally through your lashes! This not only gives you definition and volume but also saves you the spider legs lash look. 
6. Every makeup course ever will teach you one thing - less is more! Always start off with taking a minimal amount of whatever it is you’re applying and only build up if the look calls for it.

10. Matte Lipstick on demand - Turn any lipstick into its matte counter part by lightly dusting translucent powder over it. This also adds to the longevity of it.
