MBA,Why Organizations prefer MBA candidates to other while recruiting Articles abbreviated from Master of Business Administration is not just an academic degree. It is symbolic of excellence with regard to critical thinking, decision taking and problem solving. The balanced integration of these three features is what every business organizations seek for during recruitment. In fact, they want somebody to run their business on their behalf. They want a host of traits in their prospective candidates, such as integrity, honesty, dedication, commitment, flexibility, adaptability, sobriety, entrepreneurial quality, perseverance, patience, persuasion, effective decision taking and its implementation and the ability to lead and motivate the workforce in the organization. They know pretty well, an MBA candidate only can cater to all their needs.

Critical thinking is one of the most important traits that organizations look in a candidate. An MBA candidate does not undergo any specific course to learn critical thinking. But this ability is interwoven into the curriculum of MBA. During the course of study, an MBA candidate is required to prepare and present case studies focusing on current issues related to specific case. While so doing, an MBA student is systematically trained to make evaluation of ambiguities and dilemmas inherent to any type of business, small or large. This in turn makes him a seasoned critical thinker, so much sought for by business organizations.

Problem Solving is an exclusive feature marked with an MBA candidate because he is trained professionally to solve problems of real life situations.  In the present day scenario of globalization and the consequent  stiff competition, every business is subjected to more and more of complexities  that call for the services of a professional Problem Solver  to deal with the situation, instead of the conventional ‘jack of all trades’.  An MBA is trained to frame questions related to any problem, put those questions to specific areas and collect all relevant data for taking the right decision at right time.

In the ever changing business scenario, a business organization needs a strategist who can develop business modules for adapting to the changing needs. Dealing with ambiguity and creating changes are two strategies that ensure stability and growth of business as well as to reap the optimum financial benefit for the business. An MBA only can demonstrate the ability to maximize talent, possess a broadened view of business prospects and optimize the available resources to the best advantage of the existing business. An MBA candidate thus enjoys an edge over others in matter of recruitment.

Generalization verses specialization is another factor that puts an MBA candidate on advantageous position compared to others. The complexities of business call for more specific and minute approach, thus necessitating specialized and expertise services that can be best offered by an MBA candidate. A business organization makes recruitment, keeping in view the long term perspective.  It therefore seeks for a person with requisite skills who if paid well will continue to serve in the organization for a long period.  Higher employee turnover is a bad sign for the organization. Therefore, an MBA candidate is considered an HR asset for the organization and has become almost mandatory for important management positions.
