The 5 mega pixel camera operates at a pixel resolution of 2592x1944 pixels offering superb quality images with high levels of clarity and detail within the images. The task of taking good photos is simplified thanks to the inclusion of such features as fixed-focus and an LED flash. The camera can also shoot video in VGA quality at a rate of 15 frames per second,The Nokia E5 Is An Impressively Versatile Handset Articles offering an alternative method of image capture.

Various formats of music and video files such as MP3/MP4 are supported by the internal media player, and a stereo Fm radio player and a library of downloadable games are also provided to keep users entertained for hours on end. Voice command/dial and an organiser are included as handy extras to stay organised and save time.

Internal memory within the E5 is 250 MB as standard. This allows a good number of files to be stored, such as music tracks, video clips and photos. A micro SD slot is included for this purpose also, with a pre-installed 2 GB memory card. This can be swapped for a card of a higher capacity of up to 16 GB to attain more storage if necessary. The internal phonebook can store a seemingly unlimited number of contacts, and includes the ever popular photocall feature. This allows a photo to be assigned to each contact, and this is in turn displayed on the screen any time that person calls or is called.

The E5 has a similar initial appearance to that of many Blackberry models. Its angular lines and square features add a modern twist to the design, however. The dimensions of the handset are 115x58.9x12.8mm, and it weighs in at a mere 126 grams. This makes it a pocket friendly handset which is also a pleasure to hold and use on the go.

The TFT screen on the E5 measures 2.4 inches and utilises a pixel layout of 320x240 to display up to 256,000 colours, for bright, detailed display of on screen content.

A number of features are called upon to keep the E5 connected to both the internet and cellular networks. Class 32 versions of both GPRS & EDGE provided the primary method of cellular network connection in areas with little or no 3G coverage. In areas covered by 3G, a HSDPA connection provides access to the internet at speeds of up to 10.2 mega bytes per second. Wi-Fi technology is utilised in areas where a signal from an internet router is detected, for a faster connection and therefore an enhanced browsing experience. Bluetooth and micro USB connection allow the phone to be connected to various compatible hardware such as other phones and computers, allowing a range of tasks to be carried out.

Available in a range of different colour schemes, the E5 will also appeal to style conscious users who also view their mobile as a fashion statement.
