Seen to be released, the Nokia N8 is a stunning new Smartphone from the manufacturer which boasts a number of groundbreaking features, most notably of which is an impressive 12 mega pixel digital camera.

The 12 mega pixel digital camera operates at a pixel resolution of 4000x 3000 pixels which results in absolutely stunning quality of still images.  With Carl Zeiss optics leaving no doubts about the build quality of the cameras hardware,The Nokia N8 Boasts An Advanced Camera Articles and a number of image enhancing features such as face & smile detection, Autofocus and Xenon flash simplify the task of taking great photos even in poor lighting conditions.  Thanks to GPS, geo-tagging automatically records the location at which a photo was taken.  The camera can also shoot high definition video footage in 720p quality at a rate of 25 frames per second as an alternative method of image capture.

 

Amongst the software package of the Nokia N8 is a wide range of features and applications which result in a high level of everyday functionality and versatility.  The handset offers appeal to business users thanks to a document viewer (compatible with word, excel, PowerPoint and PDF files).  Along with a number of pre-installed games (and access to a library of downloadable games) and a stereo FM radio player, the versatile internal media player supports a host of different formats of both music and video files.  A number of different colour variants of the Nokia N8 will be available, ranging from dark grey, silver white, green, blue and orange offering appeal to style conscious users who also view their mobile phone as a fashion statement.

 

Class 33 versions of both EDGE & GPRS provide the Nokia N8 with its connections to cellular networks in all but the most isolated of regions.  Connection to the Internet is provided via an HSDPA connection at speeds of up to 10.2 mega bytes per second (alongside HSUPA at 2 MB per second) in areas covered by 3G.  A faster Internet connection can be obtained thanks to Wi-Fi Technology which utilises the signals provided by local wireless Internet routers resulting in a faster connection at broadband speeds.

 

Measuring 113.5x 59.1x 12.9 mm and weighing in at just 135 g, the Nokia N8 is certainly a pocket friendly handset which is ideally proportioned for comfort of use.  With relatively simplistic styling it is an aesthetically pleasing handset with an uncluttered appearance which conveys functionality and build quality.

 

The Nokia N8 provides generous internal storage of 16 GB for data such as music tracks, video files etc.  Should further storage be required, then the micro SD slot can be utilised by installing a memory card of up to 32 GB.  This should provide ample storage for the needs of all but the most demanding users as it is capable of storing an entire digital music collection and a number of photo albums.

 

The Nokia certainly appear to be on to a winner with the N8 thanks to the winning combination of pleasing aesthetics along with its impressive spec list, whilst the stunning 12 mega pixel digital camera is the icing on the cake.
