The latest Samsung phone has now been launched on Vodafone,
the new Samsung Wave is full of new technology including a new Super AMOLED touch screen, TouchWiz 3.0 user interface and the latest Bada platform from the manufacturer. The Samsung S8500 Wave was initially released on T-Mobile deals but is now available to connect to a range of new Vodafone tariffs almost doubling the number of pay monthly contract packages available for this latest Samsung phone.Samsung have named this latest screen technology as SAMOLED, it produces far clearer and deeper coloured images than the next best AMOLED touch screens and the manufacturer has made great use of this by supporting 720p HD video recording with the Samsung Wave S8500.On video playback the footage is crisp and concise and these video clips can be instantly uploaded to Youtube to share with the world, pictures and video are captured with a 5.0 mega pixel camera with flash on the reverse of the phone which is pretty much all that is present on the back casing which is finished in an attractive brushed metal effect graphite grey colour. The latest TouchWiz 3.0 user interface allows personalisation of the Samsung Wave's home screens, there is even the facility to have the media player showing directly on one of these screens so the user does not have to navigate the menu system to watch their videos. The Samsung S8500 Wave also offers comprehensive social network integration with sites like Twitter and Facebook supported, there is also WiFi, HSDPA, GPS and Bluetooth technology on board for wireless connections, fast downloads and quick file transfer as well as satellite navigation. This latest Samsung phone really is in a league of its own being the only mobile phone on the market to offer the new Super AMOLED technology, however there are a few competitors that now utilise the high quality AMOLED touch screens which include the HTC Desire, HTC Legend, Sony Ericsson Vivaz and from the within the manufacturers own portfolio the Samsung Omnia 2.The HD video recording capabilities of the S8500 Wave are matched also by the HTC Desire and Sony Ericsson Vivaz as well as the previous Sony Ericsson Satio and again from within the ranks the Samsung Omnia HD i8910.Now available on both T-Mobile and Vodafone contract deals the Samsung Wave is set to go on to be released as a SIM Free phone as well as a Pay As You Go handset over the coming days.
