Hardware keyloggers are made from two parts namely an interrupter and storage. When the keystrokes send the signals, then this interrupter comes into act and interrupts those signals. Once interrupted,Hardware Keyloggers – What are they? Articles the signals are kept in the storage, which is the Hardware Keylogger’s second part. 2mb of storage space is more than enough to play games throughout the week. However, the storage always differs. A person, who’ll place the device, would want to access the encrypted memory. One can only gain access through the combination keys, which are there between the USB flash drive and the keystroke capturing. As soon as the device recognizes that you’ve pressed the keys, then a message will appear that will notify you about drive being found.

Inside, you’ll find the configuration file and the keystroke logs. So, the access key can be changed by modifying both of them. Hardware keyloggers are of various types like a ps/2 keylogger, USB keylogger etc. more of them are as follows –

* Wifi – This keylogger is coolest of them all. The information, which was captured from the internet, will be sent to you in the mail address you provided.

* Frame recorder – This one is more advanced than all others. The frame recorder keylogger is basically responsible to get the input in a very quick time, through the cable. This keylogger can be attached on the HDMI, or other kinds of cable.

* Invisible – There is a bit of risk involved in placing this hardware keylogger, because you have to fit it inside the keyboard, and for that you’ll have to open it.A user manual will always be there to help you with the installation. When it is stuck in a place and the keyboard is closed, then you no longer would be able to see it.

Advantages of hardware keyloggers:

One fabulous thing about the hardware keyloggers is that they work/support on Linux, Windows, and all other platforms. Using these keyloggers is simple, which adds to its advantages. They have a plug-n-play interface, which most users would really want. Installation is not a real problem, and does not require much memory, as well. No problems in detecting the keylogger, and antivirus problems are also not there. As the hardware keyloggers run for most of the time, so the bios passwords can easily be caught by them, which is not possible through software keyloggers.

Now we’ll talk about the disadvantages

Most disappointing thing is that the organization lacks in hardware keyloggers. Users literally won’t be aware of what’s written, and where it’s written, and it’s all about what they guess. It is excruciating for anyone who has to go through the logs. While a normal keylogger won’t require you to go through logs.

The hardware keyloggers, due to the shortage of features, are not even a competition to normal keyloggers.
