Everywhere, people are looking to find a new alternative to cable. Some of these people are just looking to be the first to use the new technology. Others, the aggravation has become too great. They are tired of the headache. Maybe you feel the frustration, and just want to get out from under the cable company too.
May you are feeling the need to find an alternative for your situation. Perhaps you are aggravated with cable, but not ready to leave the company. Let me give you four reasons other people are finding alternatives to cable. Perhaps after hearing the complaints of others, it will prod you to make a decision about searching for a solution to your cable woes.
Reason 1
Cable comes with an unavoidable high cost, and this is the first and biggest reason people look for a way out of cable. By the time that you pay install fees, rental on equipment, programming, fees for extra channels, tax, and then the primary cost of cable you are in over your head in costs. It is not unheard of for people's cable bill to be more than one hundred dollars a month. That is rediculously expensive for what averages to about two hours of tv per day. That is for only about sixty hours a month. That means that you are paying almost two dollars per hour of television you watch. A lot of people are searching for an alternative just based on this problem, but there are even more complaints to be heard.
Reason 2
As a subscriber to expensive cable you would think that there would be an excellent customer service system in place. It is too bad that this is not generally the way it is. How many times have you called in to get some help and had a grumpy representative on the line that was unhelpful? This is often the case, even if it is not always. For the price I used to pay for cable, it is unacceptable for customer support to be that bad. If I call in because my cable is acting up, I do not want to hear about how a technician can be there next week on Tuesday or Wednesday between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm. What do you expect me to do, wait around the house all day? This can not be accepted. When I need to downgrade my service to a cheaper package, I do not want to be sold on upgrading to a more expensive package deal. These are the issues that get people like me to leave cable companies. These issues are the same that get people to cut the cord with their cable provider.
Reason 3
For all the high costs of cable you would think that the actual service would be top notch. You would never expect or accept fuzzy reception, faulty equipment should be nonexistent, and broadcast freezes should never happen. All of these issues have been a reality, and that is unacceptable. For the premium on cable, inconsistencies in the service are just way too common. For most, this is the final straw. The inconsistencies would be bearable if the price was not so high. If customer support was not such a hassle, their might be a bit of damage control. For the high costs, the aggitations to get issues fixed are just too much to bear.
Reason 4
The fourth reason is because an affordable alternative to cable does exist and people want to find it. Online is where they will find it. The service is often cheaper than one month’s cable bill. It is called tv on pc, and people are flocking to it. There are thousands of instantly viewable channels and live sports are not excluded.
