Don't be mislead into thinking that marriage or a partner will automatically bring happiness, or will fill a lonely void in your heart. With any new relationship, once the honeymoon is over you may discover that the level of happiness is no greater than when you were single.

Being single does not necessarily have to reflect a transition period between relationships. Sometimes women do not feel 'complete' unless they have someone to call their 'other half'.

The hit series highlights an honest portrayal about single life and it's difficulties particularly how all those girls did not feel 'whole' without love - with the exception of the feisty and sexually liberated Samantha!

A report that studied more than 900 couples over a five year period determined that spousal relationships provided just a small percentage of ultimate happiness which was during the time leading up to the wedding ceremony. The report goes on to confirm that 78% of people within a twenty-month time frame reverted back to the path they knew before tying the knot. In the main we have a baseline of happiness, and matrimony in general is not going to change that -- aside from that brief portion of cloud nine.

In that respect, there are two means to be genuinely blissful and one is to have a great husband or wife - and the next is to live by yourself and don't have an exclusive love interest just have great buddies, interests and constructive time for yourself.

Single women no longer need to feel that they must marry or settle down by a certain age.  Free dating sites allow singles to start their love hunt when their life determines that the time is right!
