Don’t drag on a date longer than it has to be.  This rule applies even if you are having a good time.  Remember that a first date should be a brief get together so that you can establish if there is chemistry or not.  You don’t need to spend 3 hours with someone to determine if there is a connection, and that same goal can be pretty much accomplished in 5 minutes.  But make your date a reasonable amount of time and then gracefully bow out until the next time you get together.
