A Dream to Fulfill

Its a dream for most of the young-stars (from non-English speaking countries) these days to talk in English, Fluently. Well, if you have got your education from Convent/English Medium schools, then you may not worried about that.

But if you have done your schooling in native language schools, then you may not be good in speaking in English. There are many meritorious students who scores good in English subjects. Yet many of them feel the same way.

I have learned the advanced English all by myself.

I was also like you people. I have done my schooling and Graduation from Bengali Medium institutions. After graduation I felt the need of speaking in English for getting a corporate job in Kolkata.

I am from a lower-class background and live in a small town called Baidyabati in Hooghly district, West Bengal. I didn’t have the money to afford a Spoken English Trainer. Because I was unemployed at that time.

But I had the urge to go for it. So I choose some of the below mentioned methods.

Listening is Important

At first you need to listen and understand English conversations. Do you watch TV?

Watch English shows and Movies on TV Use Your TV to Learn English

This is one of my favorite. I loved to watch English TV shows and movies. Actually I am a big fan of Hollywood Movies. From Tom & Jerry Cartoon Shows to Terminator 2, I enjoyed watching them on TV. I also started to watch English News channels.

Spend ¹10 on your TV

You can also do the same. And you need to spend just ¹10 for that.

I assume that you have a cable, or Dish enabled TV at home. You can add the Times Network pack of 3 English channel in ¹10 only.

You can enjoy premium movie channels like MNX, Movies Now and Romedy now with your present package.

MNX and Movies Now channels show non-stop English movies. You can enjoy them watching and listening. This way you will get familiar with English conversations.

Also, there are many English news channels that are free like Republic Now and CNN. All of the News Anchors in there are Indian. So you will be able to listen their whole conversations.

But remember, you are here to learn English. So try to concentrate on the English Conversations on those programs.

This habit has helped to understand each and every word coming from the characters from the TV. Now I like to watch Hollywood films in English only, to enjoy them most.

Don’t Like Tv, use Your Smartphone

Sorry, you may not like to watch programs on TV. You spend most of your time with your mobile. You can watch virtually everything in here. So, why not use it to learn spoken English.

I didn’t have any mobile in my entire student life. Well, I graduated in 2002. At that time, smartphones were not abundant as it is today.

But you have a very good instrument to use. Now you may ask how to use it properly so that you can learn with it?

Its like Playing Games

Before diving into the deep, I would request you to answer this.. Do you play games on your mobile? If yes, then I can say that you are now become an expert in that game (FreeFire, PUBG, Clash of Clans, Running Games, Shooting Game etc.)

How much time did you take to be an expert in your game? How many times did you spend on that game, every day.

I can assume that you play that game every day at least 1 hour duration. And you became the master after a month.

Learning English with your mobile is also like learning to play the game. You may don’t know how much dedicated you are to concentrate in the game? And this kind of concentration and dedication will help you to speak English, fluently.

Watch and Learn with Your Mobile

If you are not interested to watch programs on TV then use your smartphone. You can watch unlimited numbers of English Programs with it.

I know that a large number of mobile users love to watch videos. And the best place to watch them on Mobile is YouTube. There are tons of English related videos are there.

You can start with those videos that generate interest in You. I am fond of Science related videos. So I mostly watch Science and Astronomy related documentaries on YouTube.

You can also download English TV Series and Movies on your smartphone. You can delete them after watching.

Use Android Applications

You can use dedicated Android application to learn English. This is an excellent way to grow your skills in English Language.
