The engineering exam would be conducted in two stages. Both the stages have a very different pattern.

The Stage 1 entrance exam pattern is as follows:

Total duration of the exam : 2 hours and 15 minutes

Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics 50 questions each with 4 marks awarded for every question. A negative marking of -1 would be awarded to every answer. The total marks for the exam would be about 600.

In order to appear in Stage 2 of the exam, the candidates have to qualify Stage 1 of the exam. The pattern of the same is as follows:

Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics 100 questions per section with 4 marks awarded for every correct answer and -1 for wrong answer.

A time gap of 30 minutes would be given between 2 consecutive papers.

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination is a state level undergraduate engineering entrance exam conducted every year by BCECE board to enable admission to about 3000 seats in 20 colleges of Bihar. About 1.5 lakh students appear for BCECE exam every year. According to recent news sources, the Stage 1 exam has been postponed while the Stage 2 exam is scheduled in May.

Candidates who wish to appear in BCECE must be an Indian citizen. Candidates must have passed 10 +2 examination with a minimum of 45% from any recognized Board/university.

No age restriction has been imposed for candidates applying to BCECE 2017 so far.

Results obtained by the candidates in the exam would be the basis for their counselling. Qualified candidates would be required to register themselves and apply for choice filling in order to participate in counselling and seat allotment procedures.

The candidates would have to report for the handwriting test. They can also participate in the provisional allotment process and check their status on the same. You may refer to the exam official website for more details.
