How To Get Recommended in ISSB Initial Interview

An initial interview is conducted after the Intelligence and Physical Test. This is your last step of the initial selection process before going to ISSB. Interviews are the most important part of any selection and recruitment process.

These interviews give deep insight into someone's behaviour and attitude. In the Armed Forces, interviews are the most important part because these forces seek officer-like qualities in a candidate and interviews help them in this regard.

Therefore you should pay some attention to the interviews in order to go further in the selection process.

Generally, Initial interviews at selection centers are not very long. It generally takes 10-15 minutes for an interview.

But, it totally depends on the panel taking the interview. This panel generally consists of 2 to 3 officers ( male & female ) of different ranks.

Tips to Get Recommended in Initial Interviews:

• Your visual appearance matters a lot. Therefore you should be looking presentable.
• Wear simple Shalwar Kameez or Pant Coat. Don't try something fancy.
• Avoid wearing too loose or too tight clothes.
• Brush your teeth before going for the interview.
• Take simple and elegant hair-cut.
• Comb your hair properly.
• Use black or brown shoes. Avoid fancy shoes or sandals.
• Use a simple black belt.
• Keep eye contact with the interviewer while answering the questions.
• Keep your voice loud and clear. Don't panic.
• Keep the tone of your voice polite.
• Your answers should be straight and to the point.
• Try to give an answer in the same language in which a question is asked.

• Questions about your friends and circle.
• Some general knowledge questions.
