How to Apply
- For admission in IGNOU firstly you must register with IGNOU at the official website.
- After logging in, you will find a tab titled “register online’. Go with the tab.
- Now go to the online admission portal and register your self at the new register tab.
- Create your User ID and Password and note it down. your user id and password are key to your student portal from where you can excess to student zone at any time from anywhere.
- Now in the next step register yourself again and fill all your asked information at a given space.
- Remember, all your given information should be correct and as per your documents.
- Now complete the process for the fee submission. The application fee for the IGNOU is Rs.200.
- You can pay the fee by any of the online modes like debit card/credit card /net banking etcetera.
- Now go with prospectus and follow the instruction as per the prospectus.

- 10+2 or graduation level certificate.
- Scorecard of entrance examination (if applicable).
- Pay order/demand draft for the submission of the fee.

Evaluation System in IGNOU
The system of Evaluation at IGNOU is different from other universities/institutes. It has a multitier system of evaluation:
- Self-assessment exercise with each unit of study.
- Continue evaluation mainly through assignments which are tutor-marked, practical assignments, and workshop.
- The term-end examination
- Project/practical work.
- The evaluation of learners depends upon various instructional activities undertaken by them.
- A learner must write assignment responses compulsorily before taking a term-end examination from time to time to complete an academic program.
- A learner must submit TMA responses to the co-ordinator of the study center.

Credit System
IGNOU follows the credit system the most of its programs. Each credit in IGNOU is equal to 30 hours of study comprising of all learning activities. This helps the learner to know the effort he/she must put for the successful completion of course.
Term End Examination and Payment of Examination Fee:
The university conducts the Term End Examination twice a year in the month if June & December. Students are permitted to appear in the term-end examination subject to the following condition:
- Registration for the course is valid and not time-barred.
- Required number of the assignment submitted by due date where ever is applicable.
- Minimum time to pursue these courses as per the provision of the program has been completed.
- The examination fee for all courses has been paid.

How to Apply for OPENMAT
- As always, the first step for the application for OPENMAT is logging into the official website of IGNOU.
- Now, click on the tab titled “register Yourself”.
- Now, fill the registration form with all asked information and click on the submit button.
- Re-login with the information you entered before for the registration process.
- Now upload all the scanned documents like photograph, signature, thumb impression.
- Proofread all the information you filled on the application form if satisfied click on the submit button.
- Now click on the “next” button for the payment of application fee which is Rs 200.
- Its time to pay the fee, you can pay the fee by any online mode like debit card /credit card /net banking.
- Now take a printout of payment slip.
- At last, take a print out of the confirmation page for future references.
