How often do you come across self-confident people? Not those who claim that they are self-assured,Learn to Be Self- Confident Articles but those who act and feel confident, those who is able to take the burden of responsibility for their deeds, those who are not bewildered by unexpected changes.  I think they are not so many.  If all these words characterize you, you are lucky, as you possess a rare quality that can make your life easier in many ways.  And   you do not need to read my story.  More likely it is meant for those who lack inner harmony and the ability to control the situation whatever it is.

During my teaching practice I met a number of students who lose their confidence in stressful situations. They do not manage to pull themselves together and change the situation. When it comes to written assignments, they choose to use custom research papers writing service because they are not sure if they can cope with the complicated research project.  This problem does not disappear when they grow up. They face the same problems caused by lack of confidence but in a different context.  It hinders their promotion at work, they are not popular among the opposite sex and what is the most important they do not like themselves.  Before we talk about the ways to increase our self-confidence,   it is worth finding the right definition for the word “self confident”. As for me I completely agree with the one I came across at www.couns.uiuc.edu/Brochures/self.htm. “Self-confidence is an attitude which allows individuals to have positive yet realistic views of themselves and their situations. Self-confident people trust their own abilities, have a general sense of control in their lives, and believe that, within reason, they will be able to do what they wish, plan, and expect.  Having self-confidence does not mean that individuals will be able to do everything. Self-confident people have expectations that are realistic. Even when some of their expectations are not met, they continue to be positive and to accept themselves. “You can become such a person, if you really want it. Your first step to success suggests the following five simple rules: Believe every person has difficulties. The efficiency of a person is not determined by the absence of problems but the ability to cope with them.  There are not so many situations in our lives that we can not change for better.

When you ask for opinion of other people, you give them power over yourself.  You should be your personal consultant.  People themselves cause anxiety and stress when they measure their success based on the appraisal or disapproval of their surrounding. Do not allow others to manipulate yourself. Your emotional state is only yours and you are responsible what it is like. There are no hopeless situations, there are solutions which we do not like or we do not have enough courage to fulfill them. If you are not sure of you choice, think of the possible most terrible consequences of the decision. Are the effects really so bad? Decide what is important for you in the situation. You have the right to make mistakes and be responsible for them. Mistakes make up indispensable part of personal development. As they say the greatest mistake is a fear of making one. If you are not convinced by either of the above principles, maybe Thomas Edison’s words “Worry is dissatisfaction and dissatisfaction is the primary condition of success” are about you?
