All standard newspapers include crosswords; simple cryptology puzzles, and jumbles which get progressively harder throughout the week. Improve your GRE vocabulary by trying to commit to completing all of the word puzzles every day. Word puzzles can also be done in groups, especially if you enjoy competition. You can also purchase books of word puzzles of varying difficulty.
Try to use the words that you memorize in your conversation and writing. This is the best way to retain vocabulary. Try to thinking about a sentence that you can use your vocabulary in. Saying it out loud or writing it down will just solidify your understanding and memorization of the words
Make a goal of memorizing 10 words to 50 words a day depending on how much or how little time you have before you take the GRE. Make sure that you re-examine your vocabulary flash cards every once in a moment, so you won't forget the ones you've already memorized.
