The programme seeks to enable students to measure up to the exacting standards set by recruiters in the IT and engineering sectors.

Mr V. K. Mathews, Executive Member, Nasscom, says that engineering colleges have shied away from being certified under the NAC Tech (Nasscom Assessment of Competence - Technology) programme.
This is an industry-standard assessment and certification regimen to keep alive a robust and continuous pipeline of talent for the IT and engineering industry.
It rates final-year and pre-final students based on their performance in an online examination conducted by Nasscom, Mr Mathews told Business Line.
Recruiters could use the NAC Tech score to assess the quality of students seeking employment. Very few engineering colleges here enrol students for this examination, said Mr Mathews, who is also the Executive Chairman of the IBS Group.
The tests keep changing every year. The intent is to identify the level of available talent and provide feedback on areas to be work on to improve employability.
