  Since the beginning of the recision there has been a significant spike in self proclaimed entrepreneurs. As the harder things became in the day to day job market the more and more people would pick up pens and shovels and step forth determine to make it work on their own, without the support of the ever dependable annual pay check that normally supported their life styles. One thing that really seemed to work for people is renting out rooms that really seemed to work for people is renting out rooms or entire floors to people. This seemed to be the best way to keep that big house that you no longer could afford because by renting out the basement and first floor it would be possible to pay off the bills and still make a profitable living.   The only problem is with so much property going up for rent and the increasing drop on mortgage it became harder and harder to get your room rented out to someone. What a lot of people do not know is exactly how much hard work goes in to renting out a room. If you want to get the most bang for your buck you have to make sure you have done a few things. First stop by a d\few other houses that are up for rent in your area and make sure your asking price is reasonable. Then check your curb appeal because you can loose fifty percent of potential buyers before they even ring the door bell if you have bad curb appeal. When someone walks in to your home they should be greeted with open space and bright neutral colors, not surrounded by dark colors, clutter, and pictures of you and your family because they want to picture themselves living there not you. Finally the bedroom should be clean with bright colors if your renting then putting a duvet cover set over the bedding is a good way to protect it from potential tenets.
