SSC CHSL Tier I Examination Pattern
The SSC CHSL 2020 Tier I Examination consists of Multiple-Choice Questions. It comprises of four sections with 25 MCQs of each section. The total number of questions will be 100. Candidates are given 60 minutes to complete SSC CHSL Tier I Exam, and 80 minutes are given to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) Candidates. There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.

SSC CHSL Tier II Examination Pattern
The SSC CHSL Tier II will be a Descriptive Paper. The Tier II paper can be written in either English Language or Hindi Language. The maximum marks for Descriptive Paper will be 100 and it will be held in ‘Pen and Paper’ mode. The candidates have to write an Essay of 200-250 words and a Letter or Application of 150-200 words. The minimum percentage required to qualify the SSC CHSL Tier-II examination will be 33 percent. The candidates will be given 60 minutes to complete the paper, whereas candidates who come under the category of visual impairment, locomotor disability, cerebral palsy, and benchmark disability will be given a total of 80 minutes.
