Students showcase their talents (IBNLive - Chennai Engineering Colleges)
Maruti Suzuki ‘Colors of Youth’, a talent hunt competition conducted for engineering and management students, entered the final lap with culmination of the fourth leg of zonal rounds in Bangalore recently.
The fourth leg of the zonal rounds saw the students making it to the final round from a total of eight participating teams from the South Zone that included Chennai,
Hyderabad and Bangalore. Abhishu Rakshit from Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, Yathartha Sharma from IBS University, Hyderabad, Danny Mathew from Christ University Institute of Management, Chennai, Advithi and Ashvithi Shetty from Manipal Institute of Management, Bangalore, Aradhika Tayal from Great Lakes Institute of Management,
Chennai respectively made to the finals. ý
The Bangalore round saw more than 120 students from 22 colleges taking part with great enthusiasm. The teams from Christ University Institute of Management, Manipal Institute of Management and ICFAI Business School had made it to the South zone finals from Bangalore.
The event was basically organised to evaluate the performance skills of the participants.ý Speaking on the occasion, Shashank Srivastava, Chief General Manager (Marketing), Maruti Suzuki India said, “Maruti Suzuki’s initiative ‘Colors of Youth 2011’ promises to provide a national level platform where students from varied backgrounds get a chance to showcase their performance skills while platforms to showcase academic talent are many but such platforms are very few.”
The panel of judges included musicianý Subir Malik (Parikrama) and Diana Hayden, international model and former Miss World.
The competition covered 10 cities in the country. The other cities were Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Indore, Lucknow, Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore.
