1) Common Admission Test (CAT):
CAT is considered to be the toughest MBA entrance exam in India. It is a computer-based test through the medium of which the admission to the elite Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) is made. The exam pattern of CAT is divided into three sections- Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability.

After the successful conduction of the CAT exam, the percentile is calculated for each candidate. Further, IIMs call the candidates on the basis of the percentile scored for Group Discussion/Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. After that, the final merit is released by the IIM who conducts the exam of that particular year.
2) Common Management Admission Test (CMAT):
CMAT is a Pan-India level MBA exam which is conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The mode of the examination is online, and the question asked are of the Multiple Choice Question nature. After IIMs, the best MBA colleges in India take admissions in their MBA programs through CMAT, and around 55,000 candidates appear in this exam every year.
The CMAT exam pattern includes 3 sections- Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Knowledge.
Quantitative Techniques- 26 questions asked of 100 marks
Logical Reasoning- 30 questions asked of 100 marks
Language Comprehension- 27 questions asked of 100 marks
General Knowledge- 28 questions asked of 100 marks
3) Management Aptitude Test (MAT):
MAT is the national level MBA entrance exam. It is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) on the quarterly basis. MAT is conducted in both Online and Offline mode in the months of February, May, September and December. The exam pattern of MAT includes the following topics-
Language Comprehension- 40 questions asked of 40 marks
Mathematical Skills- 40 questions asked of 40 marks
Data Analytics and Sufficiency- 40 questions asked of 40 marks
Intelligence and Critical Reasoning- 40 questions asked of 40 marks
Indian and Global Environment- 40 questions asked of 40 marks
4) Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT):
XAT exam is conducted by XLRI- Xavier School of Management once a year for the admission in its variety of MBA programs. It is a well reputed MBA institution, and many big B-Schools in India accepts the scores of XAT. The exam pattern involves-
Quantitative Ability and DI- 33 questions of 31.5 marks
Verbal Ability- 31 questions of 29 marks
Decision Making- 25 questions of 24.5 marks
General Knowledge- 25 questions of 25 marks
