NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery is set to showcase the captivating work of Marco Carnaroli in the exhibition "Illumination: An Exhibition of Fine Art Photography." The event kicks off on May 19, 2017, and runs until June 8, 2017, with an opening reception on Thursday, May 25, from 6-8 pm.
Marco Carnaroli's photography transcends mere documentation of sports cars; it transforms the intricate details and textures of these vehicles into compelling works of art. His focus ranges from the geometric patterns of air vents to the subtle curves of internal machinery, each image imbued with the spirit of the machine and a keen sense of tone and form. Utilizing stark color contrasts and the interplay of light and shadow, Carnaroli brings drama and motion to even the most abstract elements, making each detail come alive. "I aim to convey the true emotion I felt when capturing that detail through my camera lens," he explains.
Carnaroli prints his work on Hahnemühle cotton paper and places them under plexiglass, creating art objects that exude the same timeless style and solidity as the classic cars he photographs. Residing and working in Milan, Italy, Carnaroli continues to push the boundaries of automotive photography.
