"Kulfi" is a Telugu film that delves into the life of a middle-class man and his struggles with societal expectations. Despite its promising premise, the film falls short in several areas, making it a mixed bag for viewers.
Harish (played by Jai) hails from a middle-class family and works as a medical representative. His outdated mobile phone often puts him in embarrassing situations. His friends insist that he needs a more expensive phone to attract girls. One day, Harish accidentally picks up a phone dropped in a store. Around the same time, he meets and falls for Swathi (played by Swathi). Harish's honest brother, an auto driver, advises him to return the phone. However, Harish faces numerous challenges in his attempt to do so. The rest of the story revolves around how Harish navigates these problems.
"Kulfi" attempts to highlight the struggles of wanting things beyond one's reach. While it has its moments of comedy and some well-executed scenes in the second half, the film is largely predictable and fails to keep the audience engaged. It ends up being a tedious watch, despite its promising premise.
