Corporations Have Too Much Power

I am 30 years recent and I don’t see the world switching to sustainable styles of energy anytime in my life. I know that's a pessimistic statement to make however that is the reality. In this text, I need to talk about free markets and how they apply to energy. You see, several conservatives and capitalists will say that we would like to support oil companies as a result of they supply us with energy that is therefore important for our existence.

While it is true that we have a tendency to must not hinder the business practices of any company, what if that firm is using its size and clout to discourage newer technologies ? I mean, isn’t the full purpose of capitalism and the invisible hand theory that newer and innovative products will invariably outdo older and obsolete technologies? If that's the case, then why don’t we have a tendency to have a sustainable different type of energy?

The reason is clear. it is because giant oil firms wish to shield their own interests and lobby government for unfair advantages. This undermines the concept of free markets and creates undue and favorable conditions to those that do not evne want them. Smaller and a lot of innovative companies are drowned out. So there should be a transparent line of separation between corporations and government if we tend to want the free markets to perform correctly.

If there's no such separation then the companies that have become huge as a result of of peddling old and dirty technologies like oil companies will invariably lobby the state to stay out new and smaller corporations from pursuing research in newer and cleaner technologies. That is specifically what it happening these days.

Firms have too much control over government and that's a dangerous thing. We have all seen the catastrophic things that happen when government colludes with corporations and nonetheless we have a tendency to are all blind to the fact that free capitalism is the real victim of this alliance. Capitalism is not the bogey man here, it's flawed politics.

We tend to will save free markets that encourage new and innovative ideas in sectors like alternative and green energy and an entire host of alternative industries by enacting laws that change the means we tend to do campaign finance. It is time girls and gentlemen for us to take the subsequent step in our political evolution and we tend to will do it solely if forward thinking lawmakers perceive the problem and fix it. Too dangerous most of our politicians are already underneath the influence of enormous firms and those that are not are too powerless to try and do anything about it.
