The Energy Performance Certificate is essential  by law when a building is constructed , sold or put up for rent. But it is very important to   select a good company. An EPC  examiner called a Domestic Energy Assessor will visit your home and rate how energy efficient it is. They will consider various factors such as ventilation, air conditioning, buildings fabric, heating, lighting efficiencies and how these elements are controlled. In addition to this, they have to provide a recommendation letter on how to improve energy efficiency. The cost of preparing an EPC will vary depending on the size and complexity of the building and the services in it.
