Getting Your Garden Ready
Party is everywhere specially during summer. But organizing or throwing an event is not an easy task because you need to prepare a lot of things.
As the weather warms up,
it lures us outside for barbeques and birthday parties. If we plan to have the party at home, we want our family and friends to be welcomed by a comfortable retreat in our backyards. To create this inviting space, it is important to take a few steps toward getting your garden ready before guests arrive.
Clean Up The Clutter
Removing all threats and the possibility for accidents is your first concern. You will want to go through your entire backyard and remove anything that could harm your guests or looks unsightly. This includes items with sharp edges, discarded toys, and broken down lawnmowers. All of it must go, so clean it up and move it out. Be sure to cut the grass and rake up leaves and other natural debris as well.
Easy access and freedom of movement are your goals. You want to ensure there are open and relatively flat areas for activities and mingling. You are also giving your guests an attractive place to gather, because they do not want to see your old junk or an unkempt garden. Your guests and you will be much happier that you did.
Chase Away The Pests
Simply put, no one wants to get bitten or stung. It is a diligent person who will give their entire yard a close inspection for ant piles, wasp nests, and spider webs. Once you know where they are, you will want to remove these nuisances well in advance of your guests arriving. If you need to use poisons of any kind, you will want to give your yard ample time to recover so it does not cause harm to your guests.
Keep in mind that sometimes the first attempt to rid your garden of these bugs does not always work. You may need to try something else to eliminate the pests. It is best to start this a few days prior to the big event, just in case you need to contact a professional or take other secondary actions to rid your garden of unwanted insects.
Set Up The Entertainment
After you have decluttered the yard and destroyed any potential pests, you are ready to give your guests something fun to do. Inflatable bounce houses are a perennial favorite for children of all ages. They can turn a simple get together into a laughter inducing, fun-filled day. Plus, with so many options for bouncing, water features, and slides, you may even see one or two adults slipping away to join in the fun.
Be sure to provide a few convenient chairs in a shady spot near the inflatable. These are for parents who want to watch their little ones at play or snap photos. Also, locating the barbeque pit in an area that keeps the bulk of the heat away from inflatables and guests is a wise idea.
Getting your garden ready for a party or special event does not have to take long. You will be proud to show off the results, and your guests will enjoy the freedom of movement that being outside affords them. Cheers!
