One of the best ways to deal with the smell is to not have the smell. It is the plastic bottles that soak up the odor. By making the switch to another material,How to Get Rid of Baby Bottle Smell                  Articles like glass, you can avoid the odor entirely. Glass will not have the same smell that you have with plastic, even with continued use. If you would prefer to use the plastic, though, removal methods are out there for the different smells.

Cleaning immediately after use will avoid the smell from appearing. Without the milk or juice sitting in the bottle, you do not have to worry about the smell sticking around for long. You can also refrigerate milk to avoid the spoiled, sour smell that milk leaves after being out for too long. Either method will work easily if you clean or refrigerate as you normally do with the bottle and liquids. Remember to use hot water and your regular soap for a full clean.

Odors that have already set in will need a better solution, though. Again using hot water, you will need baking soda or white vinegar. Either are popular options when trying to get rid of a bad smell in the bottle. With baking soda, you add a few teaspoons to hot water in the bottle, shake, and then sit. This will take a few hours to fully take out the smell. For vinegar, add a mixture of the vinegar and hot water and then let it sit. Both take a while to work but get rid of the smell.

There are other natural home remedies for the smells left behind in bottles. No matter what you choose to do, remember to clean out the bottle thoroughly afterwards using just water. If you clean using soap, as well, do a complete rinse to take out the soap smell and to make sure nothing is left behind. You will always want to rinse out the baby bottle after putting anything in it.
