Electronic Tablet Review
A reputable electronic tablet review gives advice on the fundamental merits of most electronic tablets of worth. Tablets come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors. Undoubtedly the most well-liked tablet is the iPad from Apple. Android, however, has arrived with influence to be felt throughout the world. Windows operated tablets are also available. Cell phones (smartphones) are tablets to a smaller degree.
A respectable electronic tablet review takes into consideration the inherent qualities of all electronic tablets of value. Tablets come in many shapes,
sizes and colors. Arguably the most popular tablet is the iPad from Apple, however, Android products have entered the fray with an impact to be felt on every level. Windows operated tablets can also be found in various forms. Even our cell phones (smartphones) are tablets to a smaller degree.
Apple introduced a personal tablet in April, 2010. It offered a multi-touch display that replaced the need for a stylus or a physical keyboard. Created from an open-source there are over 140,000 apps and games (as of the end of 2011) available from their App Store. No USB is used because the syncing system works over the internet. You can connect to any of your other Apple devices and share files, movies and music.
Android is fast becoming a popular alternative to Apple products and is quickly taking market shares from Microsoft. The impact of the Android operating system is being felt throughout the computing world. Funded by Google we can be assured that quality is the main goal just as we saw with Steve Jobs at Apple. Android is also produced with an open-source code enabling others to create apps to help us manage our everyday affairs. These apps (over 300,000 as of the end of 2011) can be downloaded from the android market or from third-party companies. Sharing files, movies, and music on your other android based devices is done easily. What I like most about Android devices is the input option of Swype. Rather than typing the letters you have the option of inserting words by simply running your finger from one letter to another.
Known for quality Sony is difficult to beat. Also run by the Android operating system Sony has a tablet that is shaped like a wedge and provides better balance than flat tablets. While giving up the thinness that most companies strive for glare is reduced and typing is easier. You can also control your home electronics remotely with one of the models.
Samsung is a favorite brand of mine and one of their products has been called “the sexiest Android tablet seen.” Sleek and very light it comes as close to a comparable Apple product that you can get. One of the tablets has one of the bigger screens measuring 10.1” making internet surfing very enjoyable.
While I gave up on Windows based mobile devices long ago there are some that integrate nicely with a Windows PC by connecting virtually every device out of the box. Most have memory card slots, USB, and mini-HDMI ports. One of the models has a 10.1” touch-screen.
According to Amazon “more than 1 million Kindles were sold in each week of December, 2011.“ With the latest addition comes a 7 inch screen and has been considered future competition to the iPad. There is access to streaming movies and TV shows along with applications from their app store. Don’t forget the kindle based e-books that are also available.
After creating the revolutionary iPod Apple’s Steve Jobs moved on to develop and market cell phones in 2007. At the end of 2011 a fifth generation model hit the markets. It sports a 3.5” screen.
Samsung has an android based smartphone that is out to compete with all the others. The large 4.3” screen it provides is vivid and quite pleasant to view. The processor is “dual-core” making the phone run at blazing speeds.
From reading this electronic tablet review it is clear to see that there are many choices out there and we are sure that this is just the beginning of a wonderful future of personal computing.
