Doctors are a very important part of society. And when you have problems they're usually the people you want to turn to for help. When you do, you just have to keep a few things in mind.
Although doctors are very important and necessary in today’s society, they have become trusted for so many things that they are not certified or know very little about. It is important to think about how people did things 200 years ago because they didn’t have all of the medicine and knowledge that we have in today’s world. With great advances in knowledge and technology we have come a far way but there are also things that come with advances that are believed to be true but they are not.
1. Too many people are given prescriptions from their doctors for ailments that they have. A lot of the time the problem can be resolved without medicine. The doctors give out medicine more frequently than not because to them it is an easy fix. The drug companies are also so big and wealthy that they are known to be highly credible but that is not true because they are looking to just make money off of the prescriptions that they make and don’t care as much about who is buying them and for what reason.
2. Doctors are not educated on the correct things when it comes to nutrition and health. When doctors give you advice about what to eat and what to go to stay in shape or get in shape, more times than not they will be telling you the wrong information. One way to know if your doctor might actually know what he or she is talking about is to see how healthy they are. Can you tell that they workout and eat well? Ask them questions about what they do to stay healthy. No one wants to take advice from people who don’t actually do what they are telling you to do because they normally don’t know what they’re talking about. Due to the long education process that doctors go through to be able to practice, people think that they know everything when it comes to health but in reality they know very little.
3. Most doctors are educated in being curable doctors. They are not taught very much on the topic of preventative things. For example, they may know very much how to treat a disease or perform surgery to put a stint in. However, most doctors are not taught on how to help people from getting to the point of having a disease or needing surgery because they are so unhealthy. The preventative aspect is just as important as the treatment aspect because many people that are unhealthy wouldn’t have to be treated for anything if they were properly told by their doctor what to do to prevent being unhealthy and what proper things to do to prevent diseases.
4. Doctors are people too. As important and educated as doctors are, you have to remember that they do make mistakes too and they all have their own opinions. If you get advice from one doctor on what is wrong with you and what to do to treat it then another doctor might give you the complete opposite advice on it.
Make sure you know who is a good source to trust and have as your doctor even if that means paying a little bit more. If you have a doctor that knows how to really stay healthy and they cost a little bit more then you will be much happier because your health won’t be compromised like those who have the doctors who are teaching the wrong stuff.
