To enlarge or not to enlarge,Are Breast Implants the Way to Go? Articles that is the question. Before you decide to artificially grow your breast size there are some things that you should consider. For instance, how will it impact your life? If you are an avid athlete, going from a size A cup to a size DD cup could present some problems. Imagine running a marathon with your newly implanted breasts. If you were not born with the genes to have size DD cups it will take some time to adapt to your new best friends. They could actually hold you back from performing like you are accustomed to. It's a good idea to talk to some women who have gone in the opposite direction and have reduced their breast sizes. What was their motivation to do so? The phrase "be careful what you wish for" comes to mind here. We can all admit that our society is in favor of women with larger bust sizes and that is what prompts women, young and old to go under the knife for breast implants. A woman's breast has always been one of the primary factors when describing her femininity or attractiveness and this has trickled over into one generation to the other. If you are in the market for a breast implant make sure you do your research before making this important decision. Do not get on the operating table without thinking through how this will change your life. One of the first things you should keep in mind is that breast implants make it more difficult for women to have mammograms. The risk of rupture is much more prevalent during a routine mammography because of the extreme compression the breast undergoes during the procedure. Additionally, breast implants might interfere with the detection of breast cancer. Sometimes the implants block the mammography image of a tumor and could hinder the diagnosis of breast cancer. If you have a family history of breast cancer you might want to mull this information over in your head. Second, breast implants may not last forever. A large percentage of implants eventually break after about 10 years. Are you willing to undergo the knife again and pay for this procedure a second time? So, although our society gives the perception that a size DD cup is more attractive than a size A or B, women should use good judgment in determining if breast augmentation is right for them. It is very imperative for women to weigh the pros and cons before making the decision to artificially increase their bust size.
