Biomedical Autism Treatment – MMS and Chronic Infections
Biomedical autism intervention – MMS is a promising new remedy that is proving quite effective for some of the chronic infections we often see in Autism. It is helping to address chronic yeast and bacterial overgrowth that can be resistant to other remedies.
In Autism it is very common to see huge issues with regards to chronic infections. In my years of practice I’ve battled things like chronic yeast,
parasites and bacterial infections in children with Autism. And the yeast problem is such a big one that we almost assume that a child with Autism either has a problem with yeast overgrowth or will at some point, that is how prevalent it is. Diets such as the specific carbohydrate, low oxalate and gluten and casein free diets can help, especially if done correctly by limiting artificial colors and flavors and also the sugar. But many times it takes remedies or various medications, such as Diflucan or Nystatin, to really make an impact on yeast. But yeast can be very persistent for some children and for some of those kids I have implemented biofilm protocols. Biofilms are polysaccharide matrixes that the organism creates to protect it from the immune system.A remedy that has become quite popular lately is MMS. I have also seen success in my own practice using MMS, a chlorine dioxide solution. And I have many parents who have come to me asking me about my thoughts on this product, they want to know if I can help them implement it, whether it is dangerous, whether it is effective, etc. And now having researched, evaluated, read about it, read others’ experiences with it, talked with others about it, and now having parents in my practice using it, I will say I find it to be a good remedy for chronic infections. The chronic parasite infection could be part of it, the worm infections that can exist, but also for kids who have resistant infections of yeast and bacteria that will not resolve. While I do like MMS I want parents to realize that they must research this for themselves. And I would encourage them to also discuss this with their doctor who is helping them with Autism treatment as well as to work with people who have experience in MMS therapy as well. A great place to start is www.mmsautism.com where you can become familiar with MMS. So please do your own research on this and discuss it with your own doctor to determine whether this is right for your child. But of course I am always available on a daily basis for parent questions through the member forum of
www.autismactionplan.com. I answer questions on various biomedical interventions for Autism, including MMS.
