Breast Augmentation And Your Wedding
Should a woman give herself the wedding gift of breast augmentation? Here are some things to think about.
Breast augmentation can be a way to make a bride-to-be feel great about her looks. A woman’s wedding day is sometimes her one chance to be a princess for a day. It’s a day when she joins her life with her very own Prince Charming; all of her family and friends have traveled for the occasion; a hall or restaurant has been rented in order to provide a delicious banquet for all guests; a yummy white cake stacked with tiers has been baked; and a band or disc jockey is ready to spin some danceable tunes for the event. Who wouldn’t want to look their best?
Now let’s talk gowns. The lacy white gowns may be fitting or A-line with a flowing train trailing her embroidered dress of jewels and fancy stitchery. There may be a demure veil covering her locks or a flashy upswept hairdo with flowers woven in. She wants to look ravishing,
right? Well, a breast augmentation may well be the best wedding gift she can give herself. Or it may not. Here are some things to think about.
Takes time to heal: If a bride-to-be decides to take the plunge and buy herself a bit of curve and cleavage, she’ll want to allow plenty of time to heal before the big day. Swelling may last for up to six weeks; initial bruising and scarring will fade soon but the final result will not be viewable for three full months. In case of any unforeseen difficulties, this time frame should probably be doubled.
The procedure itself: The woman should think long and hard before she makes the decision to go under the scalpel. Is this something she’s always wanted to do? Was she born flat chested or has she nursed several children before this marriage and has been left lacking fullness? If this figure flaw has been bugging her and making her feel self conscious, it’s probably a good choice. If she’s been fairly happy with her bust line but now wants to simply be a perfect Cinderella at the ball-of-brides, this may not be a good decision. This is a choice that will affect her life, not just that day.
If the perfect gown just needs a bit of amping up, a pair of falsies for one day is a better bet. The procedure itself is done by a plastic surgeon in a hospital or clinical setting. It takes two or three hours to place silicone or saline implants into the bosom region via incisions in her armpit, below the breast crease or around the nipple/areola region. A local anesthetic with a sedative will likely be the anesthesia choice.
Does she plan to have children? Breastfeeding a baby will be impossible or more difficult following an augmentation procedure. A woman who plans to have a few babies and then nurse them should postpone her boob job until all infants have been weaned. Perhaps she could have a ten-year anniversary party where implants are her gift to herself instead.
After a woman has thought it through, she may or may not decide to give herself the wedding gift of breast augmentation. If she decides to go for it, the beachfront honeymoon will be another place to appreciate her new profile.
