Losing extra fat have great health benefits and could have great effect on one’s life as it allow him/her to do more activities,
things that can’t be done if over-weight. There is a miss conception which is so popular among beginner dieters, many of them think that not eating any fat is what will make them lose fat and they think that the fat in the food is what makes them gain weight. Actually this is totally wrong and one of the biggest mistakes that a dieter can do.
Why You Don’t Need To Cut Off All Fat From Your Diet?
Extra fat is formed in your body when you have more energy in your blood than your body needs. This energy is formed from protein, carbs and fat. This energy is measured by calories, I am sure that you have heard this term so many times before. If you didn’t eat fat then your diet will be formed only from protein and carbs and both produce energy. So you think that you are smart and tricking your body but you end by eating more energy as carbs is easier to digest and most of the extra fat in your body is make from carbs in the food not from fat.
Fat-free foods are not good when it comes to the taste. As we are used to eat diets that contain the three elements of food which are protein, carbs and fat the fat-free food will not taste good. Manufacturers of this can of food know that so they try to cover this bad taste by adding sugar and artificial flavoring. This extra sugar that you should not be eating will increase the fat stores in your body while you are thinking that you are decreasing them. So you are choosing a food that tastes bad and at the same time takes you to the other direction and make you gain weight?
Some people already know that but they argue by saying that fat contains more calories than carbs and protein so if I replaced fat with either protein or carbs and I eat the same amount of then I will be eating less calories. Again this is totally wrong, why is that? Because fat is harder to digest and absorb so when your diet contains fat you will take longer time before feeling hungry. Another important thing that it is harder to digest and absorb fat your stomach and gut spends more energy so the end result will be less energy added to the body comparing to eating the same amount of carbs.
