Face Lift for Continued Career

There are men and women that we all know, or perhaps we are those men and women, who do not look their (or our) age. Stress, gravity, pollution and diet have contributed to the decrease in efficient cell turnover, collagen production, and moisture in the skin. We deal with it by bombarding our skin with scrubs, lotions, and serums that affect the surface of the problem.

In the end we all still look tired, haggard, and older than our actual age. But, we want to be able to recognize ourselves in the mirror. We want to look radiant when we smile instead of frightening ourselves with the wrinkles and sag that seems to have crept up onto our faces decades ahead of our schedule. Sometimes we are related to, or work with a man or woman that we believe is far older than they actually are. For example, there was a man that I used to work with that we all saw as our mentor, even the older ladies in the office. He had the puffy sag to his lower eyelids, the corners of his eyes and mouth pointed very far down, and his jowls were pretty pronounced.

Along with the graying hair and age spots, I assumed he was close to seventy years old. His attitude about life and how he dispensed advice was right on target with each person he spoke with. He had great energy and smiled all of the time. But when he smiled, his face turned up like an accordion. I didn’t know that he wasn’t proud of the way that he looked. I didn't know that he was actually barely into his fifties.

However, after his vacation, he returned appearing twenty years younger. A full face lift can and did insight a dramatic rejuvenation for his overall face. The brows were lifted to open the eyes, the lower lids were far less puffy, and the jowls were lifted and tightened. His complexion was even clearer of some of the skin damage that had taken effect over time.

He had even darkened his gray just a little. Right in that moment I realized that a face lift doesn’t have to involve looking like a different person. It is just about looking your best today for as long as possible so that you can show how and why you can connect with different age groups because you are right in the middle of them.
