Hemorrhoids surgery isn't a necessary solution but people do opt for surgery if they want an immediate cure. While I love recommending natural hemorrhoids treatment over surgery, the natural home remedies do take a while to provide relief and a permanent cure.

Hemorrhoids surgery,Hemorrhoids Surgery Recovery Time Articles also known as a hemorhoidectomy is a surgical procedure that removes the hemorrhoids entirely meant to provide an immediate and long term relief for hemorrhoids symptoms.
How Is Hemorrhoids Surgery Performed?
Hemorrhoids surgery is done under sedation so that you do not feel any pain during the procedure. Whether it is general, spinal or local anesthesia will largely depend on the opinion of the surgeon. But regardless of which is selected, you can be assured that the procedure will not be unbearable.
The patient would either be asked to lie down on their stomach with their buttocks raised or sitting with their legs raised on stirrups. As soon as the sedation kicks in, the surgeon would clamp the hemorrhoid, tied it off and finally cut it off.  The wound would be sutured and packed with gauze. The entire procedure would probably take between one to one and a half hours.

Immediately After Hemorrhoids Surgery
The sedation will last between 6 to 12 hours. Once the sedation wears off completely, you will have the option of going home instead of spending the night in surgery centre. But the patient would have to ensure that he or she has someone to drive them home because they would not be allowed to do that themselves.
One of the most common complaints from patients after hemorrhoids surgery is problems urinating. This could be because of swelling of the tissues near the urinal tract or muscle spasms.

In general, post surgery recovery time was between 2 to 3 weeks.
Bleeding and pain is definitely some of the most common side effects of post hemorrhoids surgery. The key point here is to keep the wound clean at all times to prevent infection.  Your surgeon will definitely provide you some pain killers for the pain but please use them sparingly.

After a week or two some patients will encounter narrowing of the anal canal, making it a little difficult to pass motion. In very rare cases, there are people who complain of fistula but these are very uncommon.

Life After Hemorrhoids Surgery

A lot of people question whether hemorrhoids will grow back after having them removed. Well, the hemorrhoids will not grow back in the same spot that it got removed from. However, remember that hemorrhoids happened mainly because of some bad habits which caused the swelling in the first place.

What you should right now is understand what causes hemorrhoids and avoid these causes as much as possible to ensure that hemorrhoids do not recur again.
