Will the benefits of a government run health plan out weigh the risks involved? It is a question that is on the minds of many Americans and if you haven't yet thought about both sides of this issue you need to.

On one hand you have those who are living without health care. This is a life or death situation for many Americans and not just those who are poor. There are a number of groups like the unemployed and those who are terminally ill who are currently living without insurance. For these individuals a government sponsored health care plan seems like a dream come true.

On the other hand the Americans that have health insurance benefits through their employment. They receive good quality health care and have little worries about their financial future because of this. They know that when they have a need to see a health care provider that they are able to do so whether for a regular health screening or for treatment for an injury or illness.

As it is right now it can take days or weeks to get in to see a health care professional and the fear is that with everyone being insured that wait times will be increased and quality care reduced do to this influx of new patients.

In the long run it is just a wait and see game and many are uneasy at the thought of where the quality of health care in the U.S. may wind up.
