Hair transplantation,Procedure Of Hair transplantation Articles which is sometimes known as 'body shaping surgery is a kind of cosmetic surgery that is used to combat hair loss in men and women. This procedure is performed by taking hair from a specific area on your body (the donor site) and implanting it into the site of recipient. This procedure involves the removal of the skin that was the site which is the area where the hair is to be transplanted. It is usually very successful.

Hair transplant method can be classified into three fundamental methods. The first is the Follicular Unit Extraction, or simply FUE, method. In this procedure, tiny plugs of skin are removed from the location of the recipient with hair follicles. The follicles are then surgically removed, and the skin is closed up.

Second procedure is referred to as follicular unit strip harvesting or PIN. This procedure involves tiny skin grafts are removed from the location of the recipient and placed in tiny strips around the scalp. The grafts could need to be replaced several times due to the fact that they need to develop. As they get bigger the scar tissue develops around them.

Third procedure is known by the name autologous fat transfer. In this process, extra fat from another area of your body gets gathered and transferred to the scalp. The grafts are extracted from your body whether from a donor or from a fat extraction tool. The procedure is more involved than Strip Harvesting since the fat needs to be taken from a source that is not compatible with the skin. The process will require several weeks since the autologous grafts will have undergo numerous procedures before they can be grafted onto the donor scalp.

Fourth procedure is also known by the name of the local unit of anesthesia transplantation, or LAS transplant surgery. In this process, it is performed with a general anesthesia. One graft is removed at a time while the scalp is opened for the procedure. This procedure requires a smaller number of grafts as is done by Strip Harvesting and transplantation of the follicular unit and has been found to be more successful.

The fifth and final step in Strip Harvesting is known as transplantation of the follicular unit (fut). In this method, an entire follicular unit is harvested and the scalp then made open to allow the follicle regenerate. Once the follicular unit has been transplanted, hair will begin to develop. Because this procedure requires anesthesia, it's more costly than previous procedures and may need to be performed under local anesthesia.
