Symptoms of Threatened Miscarriage

The symptoms that indicate pregnancy can end very prematurely. Often mild cramps and slight bleeding are consisted. However, bleeding alone is not considered to be the most common of all the threatened miscarriage symptoms. If the bleeding will be constant for some period of time, one must check the causes of threatened miscarriage. This might include cervical polyps as well. Whether the fetus is alive or not can be determined by the ultrasound.  Sometimes a blood test will be required for checking the levels of HCG. Thus, there is always an increase in the levels.

Given below are some threatened miscarriage symptoms: -

• A major portion of the symptoms of threatened miscarriage is constituted by cramps and bleeding together. However, cramps do not have the strength for dilating the cervix. Thus, the miscarriage is never evitable.
• Abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding are also considered to be the major symptoms of threatened miscarriage.
• Only a slight spotting may be noticed. Sometimes, it is very heavy. The woman will be asked by the health care provider whether the bleeding is heavy or not. However, many pads will be completely soaked just within couple of hours. However, the woman will also be asked about the tissues or blood clots that have been passed.
• Sometimes there is lot of cramping and pain in the lower abdomen. Sometimes, it is on only one side. Sometimes, it is on both the sides. The pain can be transferred to both the buttocks as well as the genitals.
• A woman who is at risk of threatened miscarriage will experience bleeding and cramping at any time. However, the health care provider should be contacted. The emergency department of the hospital should also be examined.
  

Pregnant women should visit the hospital if the following symptoms are experienced:-

• Heavy bleeding. Usually one pad is soaked per hour.
• There will be passage of something which will look like a tissue. This tissue should be placed in the container.
• There is severe cramping as well.
• Fever will accompany the bleeding or cramping.
• Abdominal pain and bleeding will be noticed in woman if she has had ectopic pregnancy.
• Severe vomiting.
  

Thus, a threatened miscarriage can be very saddening and frustrating. The good news is that the problem will never be indicated with the pregnancies. Only one percent of a woman will have miscarriage.  However, she should be aware of threatened miscarriage symptoms.
