The sun is so beautiful,The Truth About Sunblock Articles big, and bright.  As much fun as it can be to spend your days in the great outdoors it is important to realize that big lovely looking sun is not all that it's cracked up to be.  The sun is beautiful and can be a source of heat, comfort, even vitamins but its effects are not all positive and if you happen to be a person who likes spending time in the great outdoors then there are some things that you should know.

First of all, while high SPF sunscreen products do help reduce the harmful effects of the sun’s rays they do not completely block the sun nor do they effectively block all the sun’s rays.  Sun block is something that many individuals think of as the equivalent of the shade but in essence it is not nearly this effective.   individuals who  like to spend time in the great outdoors know that you can’t spend all of your time in the sun and if you do you also need to take breaks and try to limit your daily sun exposure.

Experts agree that although the research isn't really available that it is better to limit your amount of daily sun exposure and allow it to build up over time.  This over time will offer less harmful effects to the skin but will still allow the individual to experience some of the wonderful benefits that the sun’s rays do offer which the medical professionals often downplay when it comes to discussing the sun.

The sun isn't only a source of vitamins and energy but is also very effective for those looking to overcome depression.  Depression has become more prevalent then ever in our society and the sun can act as a therapy to help improve the individual’s attitude and over all health.  It is actually believed that it is the amount that individuals are limiting their exposure to the sun that is actually a primary contributing factor to the amount of depression that is affecting society as a whole.

Tanning in a tanning bed is no safer for your skin and doesn’t offer the several positive benefits that you can get by spending even just a few minutes out in the sunshine.  While watching sun exposure and limiting it's important it is also important not to go without this important source of vitamins, energy, and health.  Balance is the key to reaping the benefits of the sun without having to suffer the consequences.
