Wellness and holidays in Veneto

Veneto is a region that offers many attractions, and every year it gathers both foreign and Italian tourists as it is a destination which is able to offer a range of offers dedicated to a very wide public.  

The hearth of the old “Tre Venezie” territory is indeed the first Italian region for the tourism, in which one tourist out of six that has planned the holidays in Italy, decides to come; as highlighted by Marino Finozzi, Minister of Tourism of the region Veneto, in such an economic crisis period for Italy and for Europe, during which the number of Italian tourists reservations in the Veneto accommodations decreases, the driving force of the tourism represents an important resource, as at the same time it empowers the territory and it represents a non outsourcing  activity.

In Veneto Region the tourist offer which seems to be more popular, most of all in the hinterland territories, is the wellness holidays, which consists in the staying in beauty centers or health spa, as Anthalia centers or the thermal centers of the region, like Recoaro Terme (Vicenza), Abano Terme and Montegrotto Terme (Padua), Bibione Terme (Venice) and Lazise (Verona).

Each one of these places has its own peculiarities both from the geographical morphology of the territory, and from the natural beauties and historical/cultural legacies: the thermal territory of Recoaro is located in the North-West part of Vicenza area, in the hearth of the Region, and has gained importance since the Seventeenth Century, when there were discovered the firsts thermal water springs, which gradually transformed the city in a jewel of the Small Dolomites.

The kind of beauty treatments that you can try in a thermal centre are various and regards both face and body  treatments, and special treatments, like for example the ones conceived for pregnant women and children; the most ancient type of treatment for the psycho-physical health is the body treatment, which offers a unique  series of physical benefits: it empowers the respiratory capacity, relax the muscles and act as a hormonal balancer, while from the psychological point of view, the mental relaxation and the self-esteem increase.
