According to Dr Bruce Fife in The Coconut Oil Miracle,What is Coconut Oil Good For? Articles coconut oil is good for removing dandruff, getting rid of chronic psoriasis, eliminating precancerous skin lesions, relieving flu symptoms fast, overcoming chronic fatigue, stopping bladder infections, alleviating hemorrhoids, and curing constipation.

Scientific literature also reports that coconut oil is good for treating dental cavities, benign prostatic hyperplasia, epilepsy, peptic ulcers, genital herpes, hepatitis C, and even HIV/AIDS.

Other remarkable benefits of coconut oil include its ability to prevent heart disease and stroke.

Honestly, I personally have not seen how coconut oil has treated all of the above illnesses, but I can vouch for its amazing ability in loosening bowels, killing bacteria that cause throat infections and boosting metabolism for fat loss for myself, my husband and friends.

Oh yes, coconut oil is also good for regulating blood pressure, lower cholesterol and controlling diabetes. My mother-in-law who's a diabetic and hypertension sufferer has proven its effect.

However, you have to take care of the dosage because its medium-chain fatty acid content is extremely powerful in loosening bowels. You should start by taking 1 teaspoon each in the morning on wakeup and at night before sleep. This way you can avoid diarrhea-like effect.

If you're afraid of its greasy feel when eating on its own, you can add it to your meals or beverages like fruit juice or smoothie.

Recommended intake for adults should be 3 tablespoons daily. But if you want extra protection and you feel your body can take it, you can increase its intake to 4 or even 5 tablespoons per day. But do observe your body's response to this amount and make necessary adjustment.

Besides being a health food, you can also use coconut oil topically.

For years my husband has had dry and flaky palms. After rubbing coconut oil on his palms, in less than 7 days the flake has gone and both his palms become smooth.

I've also come across people using coconut oil to treat acne. The results are amazing. But you got to get prepared for more acne breakouts before your skin heals if you have tons of toxic buildup deep down inside the skin. This is the detox effect of coconut oil, which we called it "healing crisis".

In fact, it could take days to spell out all the benefits of coconut oil, be it for health or for skin. Why don't you get some coconut oil and try it out yourself? That way you'll soon find out how healthy the food is and how good your skin has become.
