It seems hard to avoid making errors, but we can know the possible errors first.
Error one: Blurred photos
This should be the problem that each photography novice will encounter, the pictures are blurred, most of the situations are caused by the following two questions:
Focus improper & tremor
I often recommend beginners use a single point of focus. A single point of focus can focus according to your choice. Aim the focus at the subject, and then half-press the shutter to lock focus, maintain half-press to move the camera for composition, this focusing method is the most accurate.
To resolve the effect of the tremor, we must mention the concept of the "safety shutter”: safety shutter=(1/ focal length) second. You can try one step enhance function at first.
Error two: improper sensitivity setting
Now the digital camera is very convenient, you can change the sensitivity with a button. Therefore, we should take advantage of this function.
Try to use low sensitivity (ISO 100) as far as possible for outdoor photography in the daytime, it can enhance the quality of photo image (low noise);
Try to transfer the aperture large in night scene or low light environment to see whether the shutter speed is in the safety shutter. If you can not guarantee the security shutter speed, increase the sensitivity value gradually until they reach the safety shutter;
When photographing moving objects, such as birds, racing and so on, please increase the sensitivity appropriately, when you handheld photographing portrait of night scene, you should also increase the sensitivity.
Error Three: Being afraid to use flash
The flash is a very useful tool, for backlight photographing, it can fill light for the foreground. There are generally two reasons that novices are afraid to use flash:
Being afraid the portrait overexposed. In fact, we can manually set the flash output power, as long as the flash output is set to -0.7EV to -1.0EV, the portrait will not be overexposed Different color temperatures will make portrait unnatural. The color temperature of the flash is colder, if the live ambient light is warmer yellow light (such as in the restaurants, streets, etc.), the two light sources will produce different color temperature regions, the portrait will not blend into the environment naturally.
Error four: do not look at the histogram
The histogram is a very strange thing for photography novice, but it is really a useful function. Histogram can provide exposure maps of the photo, if you just take a look at this chart, you will know whether the photo is overexposed or dim.
Error five: the photo is lack of theme
The novice is easy to make the mistake of lacking a clear theme at the beginning. The elements included in the photo are too much, which will make the reader confused about the theme of the photo.Photo cropper can help you to find your theme, but you'd better do it before shooting.
